My story

KNITTEDslowly, every stitch a story

I grew up learning to knit from my dad, surrounded by creativity and the quiet magic of making by hand. My grandma was a tailor and my grandad's passion was photography  - and I inherited their love of craft, colour, and noticing detail.

Later in life, I struggled to find knitwear that truly worked for me. With sensory sensitivity, wool and itchy knits felt uncomfortable, synthetic blends lacked breathability, and most of knitwear often bobbled or felt too bulky for layering or more elegant settings.

At 45, I finally followed my dream and created KNITTEDly - hand-knitted mohair cardigans that are soft, airy, breathable, and light enough to layer beautifully, turning everyday dressing into small mohair rituals.

I was overwhelmed when my first two cardigans sold within just a few hours of listing them on Etsy - it felt surreal and deeply affirming. What came after took time - learning to show up, trust my own style, and slow everything down in a space that moves fast.

With KNITTEDly, I’ve created a softer kind of knitwear - rooted in craft, lightness, and the quiet joy of wearing something made with care for people, animals, and the planet.
